The armoire below is made of walnut. The case is split into two separate pieces...the upper case houses shelves & drawers...the lower case is a chest of drawers. As illustrated in the second photo, the lower case could easily be built separately as just a standalone chest. The upper and lower cases are dovetailed as are the base and all of the drawers. The doors feature raised/book-matched panels. The door and drawer pulls are made of ebonized walnut (inspired by the drawer pulls on this beautiful chest made by my friend Jack Baumgartner). And finally, for the finish, a semi-gloss wiping varnish was chosen to highlight the natural beauty of the wood.
The armoire dimensions are: 6' 1" tall x 48" wide x 24" deep.
