The table below was built for a fundraising auction for the Chatham County, NC non-profit Bynum Front Porch. Click on the link to learn about this wonderful organization and the great community it supports.
The piece is constructed of walnut and is finished with a natural & environmentally safe linseed oil finish. The first picture (detail of the top) shows that finish and highlights the sapwood in the boards. The next two pictures were taken before the piece was finished. In them you can see the beautiful browns, pinks, and purples of the natural walnut. The next picture shows the table on the deck of the old Bynum mill home of the nice folks that bought the table at the auction. And lastly, a shot of the table in its permanent place in that same Bynum home.
