From time to time (in between bigger projects) it's nice to work on smaller pieces. Keepsake boxes are a great diversion and are a wonderful way to use up scrap wood from other projects. "Scrap" is probably not the right term, because sometimes the leftover wood from other projects is quite beautiful (and should end up somewhere besides the fireplace!). One of the fun things about boxes is that there is an infinite number of variations of size, wood combinations, etc. which keeps things interesting.
