The coffee tables below were made as part of a series of "floating top" tables. You can see the companion hall tables here.
The first set of pictures features a table with a black milk-painted base. The base is made of red oak (legs) and maple (aprons) joined with pegged mortise & tenon joints. The top is made of Southern Yellow Pine milled by us locally. The combination of the "simple" pine top (with its curves) and the dark muted base, gives the table an elegant "country" look. Many variations of woods, table sizes, etc. could be derived from this design (see one variation below).
